MUSIC or VIDEO or just ART: “She Makes War”

Well, The Kaje team seem to have had one of those days today – but how do we react to deal with it? We look to those special little loves that we have. For some it’s those guilty pleasures which I refuse to mention (just in case I embarassed anyone), but for me it’s the cracking “She Makes War”.

As you can tell from the title of this post I have no idea whether it is the music, the videos or just the pure creativity that flows through both “I Am” and also “Scared to Capsize” is captivating and actually makes me smile for some strange and fascinating reason.

Her own website says that ““She Makes War” is the solo project of Laura Kidd – multi-instrumentalist vocal chameleon (past collaborators include The Young Punx, Redroche, Michael Gray, Koolwah and Super Mal), videomaker, blogger, sometime session musician (previously for I Blame Coco, Tricky and Alex Parks) and strident purveyor of grungey dystopian gloom-pop.” Which makes my comments above seem slightly out of place and very surreal!

But with her dressed as a Superhero Unicorn, the Sleepy Lion, Lady WineBadger and The Benguin making appearances in “Scared to Capsize” it has to be one to watch.
