NEWS: MTV Presents…One Night Only with Special Guests, I Am Arrows

MTV and Gift Music are pleased to announce that One Night Only will be joined by special guests, I Am Arrows, new band of ex-Razorlight drummer, Andy Burrows at legendary venue, Dingwalls in London on August 19th.

I Am Arrows are set to release their debut album ‘Sun Comes Up Again’ (Vertigo) on August 16th. The album, which has already been hotly tipped as one of the albums of 2010 by NME is jam-packed with beautiful pop songs that suggest Seventies soul, modern ‘beats and bleeps’ and timeless melodies.

Burrows who wrote the new material on piano in New York and at home in North London, will be standing up to sing them, playing guitar and adopting his own form of ‘projection’.

I Am Arrows are set to embark on their first UK tour in September.
Get ready to be wowed, cuddled, encouraged, intoxicated and amazed.

NEWS: MTV Presents… One Night Only Plus Support

MTV and Gift Music have teamed up to put on a series of exclusive live shows featuring the best of established and emerging talent around.

After a great first 6 months, featuring the likes of Vampire Weekend, Marina and The Diamonds, Delphic, Tinie Tempah and more, August sees One Night Only sign up for an MTV live show at the legendary Dingwalls venue, around the corner from MTV UK HQ in Camden.

Second album  ‘One Night Only’ is due for release through Vertigo Records on August 23rd and represents a giant leap into giddy, almost dizzying energy and excitement; bigger and more confident tunes than their debut and a feeling of being catapulted into something tremendously exciting and perhaps a little troubling. It’s the story of chasing the end of the rainbow, what happens along the way and when you get there.

Lead single Say You Don’t Want It makes it clear the Yorkshire band have been sampling the delights of pop stardom since their debut in 2008, while recognising the downsides of being catapulted to fame. The video features actress Emma Watson.

One Night Only released their debut album in January 2008 and it quickly went Gold, spawning the huge hit single Just For Tonight. They amassed legions of rabid fans up and down the country from their constant touring – including a bunch of sold out headline tours and major festival appearances at Glastonbury, Reading and Leeds, T in the Park etc.

Since those heady days of breaking through, frontman George has become the face of Burberry (at the last campaign shoot, he met now good friend and video co-star Emma Watson) and is regularly glimpsed in fashion shoots and on 25ft billboards around the world.
