Single of the Week: Joel Sarakula “I Will Deliver”

London based Sydney singer/songwriter has long since been a The Kaje favourite. However, we have to admit that we are rather fond of his recent progression from innocence to adulthood-and we are speaking purely sonically  as opposed to any personality reflection. “I Will Deliver” takes “Bohemian” to the next level, with its drive and sexy stance. This is an anthem and we demand you let it dominate this summer.

Single of the Week: Kimbra “Two Way Street/Warrior”

Melbourne based Kiwi Kimbra got her first glimpse of international adoration as she duetted with Gotye on his supermassive hit “Somebody That I Used To Know”, and now just a few months later she is all set to steal the spotlight for herself with this sensational soulful single lifted from her debut album “Vows”. Having already won over a legion of fans on her home turf and in the States, we have a feeling that Kimbra is set to dominate here in the UK too.

Single of the Week: Ingrid Michaelson “Blood Brothers”

Ingrid Michaelson may not be a singer that you think you know, but we guarantee that you will have heard a good number of her charismatic compositions. Having stayed trued to her independent core, Michaelson has made her name slowly but steadily, with many of her songs soundtracking everything from Grey’s Anatomy to Like Crazy. However, it is Cheryl Cole’s cover of the irrepressible “Parachutes” which no doubt will ring the most bells. With so much to offer, we at The Kaje  really hope that the beyond impressive “Blood Brothers”, lifted from her upcoming fourth album “Human Again”, will finally see Michaelson emulate her American success on these shores.

Single of the Week: Blue Angel “One More Down To Go”

London based duo Blue Angel first came to The Kaje‘s attention in 2010 when they released their stirring debut single “43 Days”, a moving response to a stabbing on a London bus. Fast forward two years and Blue Angel are set to release their third single, an infectious slice of glorious summer sun soaked pop. While the lyrics explore insecurities, the confident beat makes it perfect for the dancefloor.

Single of the Week: Lovepark “How Do I See?/Shudder”

Releading a double A-Side single is wise move for a new band-particularly when they show two differing sides to the launching act. “How Do I See?” is melancholic beauty, while “Shudder” picks up the tempo yet loses none of the group’s signature spike and attitude. With so much potential demonstrated within just one single release, there is little doubt that this Brighton troupe are headed for the big time, so we suggest jump on the band wagon sooner rather than later…
