Single of the Week: Fran Healy “Buttercups”

Fran Healy’s, lead singer and main songwriter of hugely successful rock band Travis, great track ‘Buttercups’ from his debut solo album “Wreckorder”.

Fran is also set to release “Sing Me To Sleep” on  January 9th released on Healy’s own  ‘Wreckord Label’. It is a collaboration with highly acclaimed US songstress Neko Case, written specifically as a duet by Healy after he saw her perform in Berlin. Known for other songs such as “All I Wanna Do Is Rock”, “Why Does It Always Rain On Me?”, “Driftwood” and “Sing” to name but a few, Healy once again exemplifies his exceptional song writing prowess on this gloriously laid back pop masterpiece.

In support of the album release Healy is pleased to announce two very special UK shows in January 2011 with his new band and additional 4-piece string section. Healy will perform at The Celtic Connection in his native Glasgow, on Sunday 30th January and then Dingwalls, London on Monday 31st January.
