LIVE REVIEW: Groove Armada, o2 Academy (Birmingham), 14.10.2010

The ultimate gig! Groove Armada rocked out the o2 Academy! A truly electric performance from beginning to the end, I left the gig buzzing!

It took a while for Groove Armada to come on stage but when they did they definitely were worth it, they kept the crowd rocking all night, with no gimmicky speeches, space-filling comments or random gaps, they played every second and were consistently funky.
Super Saint’s kicked off the show with a crowd pleasing upbeat number and her dancing made even the most reluctant mover shake their hips! Her performance complimented the more dance/electro music part fo the show which was nicely mixed in with the more reggae funky vibe of MC Mad making the crowd bounce up and down.

It was completely obvious that most people were avid fans and had seen Groove Armada all round the world and all round the U.K., comparing their performance to Ibiza and concluding that actually they were much better in Birmingham! A lot of people were defiantly waiting to hear “Superstylin'”  and it didn’t disappoint – it ended an excellent performance with an old skool groove.
