The Kaje talks Latitude to The Horrors

There was a brief period when The Horrors frontman Faris Badwan was better known as Peaches Geldof’s better half than he was for his music. However, when she ran off and married Chester French’s Max Drummey, Badwan concentrated on the music and ended up releasing the Mercury nominated “Primary Colours”. With a new album pencilled for 2010, Badwan and friends are ensuring they make the most of the summer sun by performing at Latitude‘s Word Arena. The Kaje caught up with Badwan to talk festivals…

When you think of Latitude what five words spring to mind?

It’s the same, only darker

If you could only see one performance at this year’s festival what would it be?

I don’t think I could choose just one.

What five items will you be bringing to Latitude?

Me, myself, I, house keys, tear gas.

Do you have anything special planned for your performance at Latitude?

We will mainly be performing songs from our smash hit album, ‘Primary Colours’.

Latitude is five years old, how did you celebrate your fifth birthday?

My next door neighbour and I shared a birthday. She celebrated by hiring a bouncy castle. I celebrated by climbing the fence and unplugging it. Shortly afterwards I was chased down the road by someone’s sheepdog which was very embarrassing.
